We are the youth of the Jain Swetambar Terapanth Dharam Sangh. A community that is small in number but big on deeds. Terapanth Kishore Mandal is a body organised under Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and guidance of Shri Pankaj Daga (National President) and Shri Pawan Mandot (National Secretary) . At present there are over 100 Kishore Mandals running at local levels. Kishore Mandal consists of boys wihin the age gap of 15 - 21 Years working towards the upliftment of the society that we all live in, in any manner possible! As on 2023 we are a team of 4000+ volunteers and counting!
Terapanth is a religious sect under Swetamber Jain. The Terapanthi sub-sect was founded by ACHARYA SHRI BHIKSHU . ACHARYA BHIKSHU also known as Muni Bhikhan ji was formerly a Sthanakvasi saint and had initiation from his Guru, by name Acharya Raghunath ji. Muni Bhikhan ji had differences with his Guru on several aspects of religious practices of Sthanakvasi ascetics. It was Founded by Acharya Bhikshu in Vikram Samvat 1817 i.e. June 28th of 1760 (Saturday) at KELWA (a small town in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan State). This sect is entirely based upon the Ideology of Jain . As Acharya Bhikshu laid stress on the 13 religious principles, namely, (i) five Mahavrats (great vows), (ii) five samitis (regulations) and (iii) three Guptis (controls or restraints), his sub-sect was known as the Tera (meaning thirteen)-pantha sub-sect. In this connection it is interesting to note that two other interpretations have been given for the use of the term Terapanth for the sub-sect. According to one account, it is mentioned that as there were only 13 monks and 13 laymen in the panth when it was founded, it was called as Tera (meaning thirteen) panth. Sometimes another interpretation of the term Terapanth is given by its followers as "हे प्रभो, यह तेरापंथ" ( O Lord (Arihant), this is your creed )
